We are on our way home after a delightful first visit to Aruba. Sunset Studios and the staff, Suzie in particular, were instrumental in helping us shape our visit.
We were there as non-traditional honeymooners (52 and 50 with 5 kids between us!) We did a good bit of research in choosing our accommodations. We usually do our best to avoid the beaten tourist path, and Sunset Beach Studios looked promising.
The location is terrific, for all the reasons others have also mentioned, and the place is beautiful, comfortable, and extraordinarily well-kept. I love the plants, flowers, and shells. The kitchen was fully equipped.
When we arrived, they surprised us by having our room (Large Ocean View) outfitted with Dutch honeymoon decorations and a bottle of champagne!!!
We were unfortunately a bit late arriving because we were famished after beginning our travel at 2:45 am that day. We didn't realize we would be keeping JP waiting. So sorry, JP! He was an unbelievably good sport and host.
After planning flights and where to stay, life got a little crazy, and we didn't get to plan much more. No matter, Suzie patiently and thoroughly asked questions, offered resources, and helped us plan and carry out exactly what we wanted - a view of the island, people, and food without all the pricy, hyped tourist trappings.
We are now considering how to save do a family holiday for all 7 of us!!
