We stayed in #10 (ocean-view, on the end) for five nights in November 2002 and found the Sunset Blvd Studios to be a quiet paradise away from the tourist rush of the high rises. We thought it had surprisingly beautiful landscaping, and we enjoyed grilling out on the barbecues under the stars. Also enjoyed getting to know some of the other guests, who were there for windsurfing like us, and liked that the owners and staff were friendly and casual. On a practical note, it was great having the small kitchen and private porch for breakfast and lunch (good way to save $$ too-- so we could spend it on windsurfing). If you're considering staying at the Sunset Blvd, I'd recommend renting a car so you can easily get groceries, go into town for dinner, and go to some of the more distant snorkeling sites. We got a good deal with Amigo Rental Agency. The windsurfing part of the family business is well-run too. Peter was always accessible to answer questions, and gave a good tack and beach-start lesson. It was so easy having our gear right there on the beach and already rigged up, so we could save our energy for the surfing! We'll definitely be back (AFTER the kid is born)! Thanks--
